As a filmmaker and New Media practitioner, I use film as a medium to explore an extensive range of imagination, crafting stories that blur the boundaries between fiction and reality. My work combines experimental filmmaking with traditional performance techniques, and it draws inspiration from my solo filmmaking and theater experiences, along with my own thoughts and ideas. I specialize in character-driven storytelling, while often taking on multiple roles as a director, actor, editor, and cinematographer, allowing me to understand every aspect of a film’s tone and perspective. I craft immersive and visually striking projects that leave audiences with a different mindset than when they came. Whether through film, photography, or writing, I strive to create art that lingers in the mind, provoking thought long after the final frame fades to black.

My Story
My name is Jordan Collington. I am a filmmaker and New Media practitioner currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in New Media with a minor in Theatre Practice at the University of Lethbridge. Born and raised in Toronto, I have always been drawn to storytelling through film, theatre, and writing. My journey began in high school, where I immersed myself in theatre, playwriting, music, and DJing, developing a deep appreciation for performance and creative expression. Over the years, I have written, directed, acted and produced short films, each exploring different themes and visual styles. As a solo filmmaker, I take on multiple roles like directing, acting, and editing allowing me to shape every aspect of the storytelling process. Since then I have found an appreciation for portrait, landscape and stargazing photography. I love working on film projects that challenge the boundaries of traditional filmmaking, using visual storytelling to create immersive, thought provoking experiences. My goal is to create films that linger in the mind of the viewer, leaving audiences questioning what they’ve seen and felt.​
