My work merges experimental filmmaking with traditional performance techniques, drawing inspiration from my experiences in solo filmmaking, theatre, and my own imagination. I specialize in character driven storytelling, and often take on multiple roles as a director, actor, editor, and cinematographer, which allows me to understand every element of a film’s tone and perspective. Through this hands-on process, I create immersive and visually striking projects designed to leave audiences with an engaging emotion and challenge their perception. Whether through film, photography, or writing, I strive to create art that lingers, provoking thought long after the final frame fades to black.

My Story
My name is Jordan Collington, and I am a filmmaker and New Media practitioner currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in New Media with a minor in Theatre Practice at the University of Lethbridge. Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, I’ve always been drawn to storytelling whether through film, theatre, or writing. My creative journey began in high school, where I immersed myself in theatre, playwriting, music, and DJing, developing a deep appreciation for performance and creative expression. Over the years, I have written, directed, acted in, and produced three short films, each exploring different themes and visual styles. As a solo filmmaker, I take on multiple roles such as directing, performing, and editing to fully shape each story from concept to completion. Alongside film, I’ve grown passionate about portrait, landscape, and stargazing photography, where I experiment with light, mood, and composition to capture emotion in still form. I’m drawn to projects that challenge the boundaries of traditional filmmaking, using visual storytelling to create immersive and thought-provoking experiences. My goal is to craft films that stay with people, stories that linger in the mind and leave audiences questioning what they’ve seen, felt, and understood long after the final frame fades.
